Roundtable Meeting Today!!!!

Just sending out a reminder to all of those persons out there who can make it down to the Legislature today:

Roundtable Discussion - A.B. Palacios, Sr.
WhenMon, March 14, 6:30pm – 7:30pm
WhereI Liheslaturan Guahan, Public Hearing Room (map)
DescriptionNotice of a Roundtable Discussion The Committee on Public Safety, Law Enforcement, and Judiciary, chaired by Senator Adolpho B. Palacios, Sr., will conduct a Roundtable Discussion on the following: -Continue and conclude the testimony presentation of Acting Fire Chief John Salas, relative to the practice of compensating 120 hours bi-weekly to the eleven (11) fire-fighters who are assigned to the DNA offices. For more information please call the Office of Senator Adolpho B. Palacios, Sr. at 472-5047/8.

Looks like the good Senator finally narrowed down his focus to one issue.  One other point of fact is that the Fire Chief had already concluded his testimony at the original Confirmation Hearing held on Feb. 14th. Sen. Palacios adjourned that hearing. It is a matter of record. It does not make any sense that this Roundtable Discussion indicates that our Acting Fire Chief is going to continue and conclude his testimony presentation. As I have mentioned, he already did that.

Make no mistake about it, this Roundtable is all about the Senator wanting answers to his concerns. This is not a problem I am sure. Let's be up front about things and perfectly open. Senator Palacios, say what you mean and do what you say. Don't be deceptive. You are in a position of public trust and you are making it very difficult.

Of course, that is just my opinion.

Until next time....
